The Ongoing Awkward Three-way Handshake
it's been two weeks since the election was confirmed, will we see it formed today?
Behind The Panels
So two weeks ago, with the special votes counted, it was confirmed that Chris Luxon and The National Party could form a government, but would need both Act and NZ First to be on board in order to do so, and since then there had been countless closed-door meeting and promises that they are “very close” to finalizing the three-way.
Yet here we are still without a government and already seeing some examples of bickering and “who really is calling the shots here?” between the three parties, which is a bit of a worrying indication of how the next three years are going to look.
